The earliest benefit is being in an all-physician environment where trust, rapport, and collegiality are immediate, unspoken, and palpable. An extension of that environment is knowing that you are in a safe space where confidentiality is assured and where you learn about not only the physician client or coachee, but also about you, the physician coach. I cannot emphasized enough how important and necessary the all-physician environment is to teaching and learning physician coaching.
